Wow wow wow, I was seriously blow away by Moab. It’s one of those places that feels both extremely holy… + also kind of like Mars. I stopped here on a roadtrip from Chicago to San Diego for two days on a whim, + I instantly wish that I had more days in this beautiful outdoor town. The contrast of the red/orange rocks with the bright blue sky was stunning. I can’t wait to go back + spend a week in Moab!

Joshua Tree is home to a beautiful national park + a funky, eclectic town. It’s the perfect place to spend a long weekend — hiking the desert, cozying in an airbnb + just enjoying the peace.

Funny story — up until a couple years ago, I thought Joshua Tree National Park was named after a massive tree in the middle of the dessert. I imagined a SINGLE LONESOME tree. Nope, Joshua Tree is a type of tree [see above!]… + there are a ton of them! They are super unique + special.

*Disclaimer: While many of us are social distancing + inside right now, this is a great time to simply complete the “prior to doing this challenge” section! Or, if you are dressing up while social distancing [which is awesome], start the closet challenge now!

It’s officially spring + I want to finally (!) let you in on my “closet challenge” that I’ve been continuously doing for 2+ years. It’s very satisfying, + sometimes very challenging.

I want to preface this challenge by recommending that you Marie Kondo your closet prior. If you haven’t read The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up…

*This is more like “CHAARG’s Guide To Santa Monica” — but until I dive deeper into all of LA… we are calling it the LA guide! ; )

I’ve been to LA many times, but this is the first time I stayed in Santa Monica [thanks David!]… + wow, I had a hard time leaving. The energy is wild + magnetic. I actually hard a time sleeping the first few nights I was there because I could feel the collective energy… sounds totally woo woo, but with the sheer amount of people in LA, I believe it. …

Wow! I now know why Kauai is called “The Garden Isle.” The plants + trees + nature are indescribably majestic… however it is WET [there’s a reason everything is so green — lots of water ; )].

Going in, I thought Kauai was going to be “my place,” but I didn’t fall head over heels in love like I thought I would. Part of the reason was that we stayed on a farm in the mountains… aka, the roosters woke us up at 330 AM without fail, AND it rained every day! My soul needs sunshine! Also, the towns were…

Alright, alright! This is the last + final post of my skincare journey… answering all of the questions you’ve asked me on instagram! But first, if you haven’t read the previous posts in this series…

On Starting

#1] Where do you recommend starting? It depends on what your goals are. Using a medical grade cleanser, exfoliate [exfoliate every other day!], + acne…

Honolulu is a strange mix of acai bowls [+ massages] at every corner, shopping centers after shopping centers, a beach that is packed like a spring break trip — but without the excessive drinking, the most beautiful weather, ++ trees that look like they belong in a fantasy land. At every time of day, the city is alive + there are a TON of people on the streets. It feels both familiar [like the USA] + different [like a different country] — it’s so lovely.

The skincare journey saga continues! For those of you who are just catching up, here’s part 1 + 2:

In this post I want to talk about my skincare routine! *Something to note: my morning + evening routine was created by my esthetician, Tara. Like I said above, it’s so important to work with someone who knows your skin! I’m prone to breakouts + I have a naturally oily face. These products might not be best for your face!

Morning — Daily

  • Step 1: Cleanse face with…

If you haven’t read part one, it’s entertaining + a must before reading this post. Also, if you haven’t thrown out your St. Ives Apricot Scrub — please do so now.

Back to the story…

I had just turned 28 [#aging] + was considering getting a chemical peel. I looked up SpaDerma, per Kate’s recommendation, + saw that they also had LASER HAIR REMOVAL! This really caught my eye.

My parents had gifted me laser hair removal for my birthday literally 3 years prior for my dark hair bikini line + I hadn’t made any moves on it… partially because…
