Wellness Guide To Jackson Hole
Isaac + I’s birthdays fall a week apart, so we continued our tradition of a week long adventure — backpacking + exploring a city… this time, inviting friends! Unlike Bend or Boulder, I wouldn’t move to this mountain town — but I appreciated it. The Tetons are GORGEOUS, + the cowboy culture was fun to experience. Bonus: I think I found my new favorite bakery in the world.
Coffee + Cafes
#1] Persephone Bakery: Crying, I miss it so much. The ham + cheese croissant. The almond croissant. The seeded avocado bowl. THE EGG SANDWICH. Everything here is glorious. They also have oat milk ; ). It’s always busy, so know that you’ll probably have to wait in like… but it’s worth it!
#2] Picnic: Owned by the founders of Persephone Bakery, so it’s obviously also incredible. It’s in the residential area of Jackson, rather than the downtown — so it was fun to explore! Get the breakfast burrito or smoked salmon toast… + all the croissants.
#3] Healthy Being Cafe + Juicery: There should be more places like this in the world — cafe + wellness goods store! The baja bowl was amazing. I loveeeed the iced matcha with coconut milk, too. They had tons of smoothies, but TBH, I liked the smoothies at Cultivate Cafe more because I like thick smoothies.
#4] Cultivate Cafe: Every single smoothie. Every single juice. Every single tea. Every single coffee. Oh, + the tacos!
Eats
#1] Glorietta Trattoria: This is a must. I think we ate everything on the menu + everything was phenomenial. Also, the vibe was so trendy. Recomendation: ask them to course it out more. We got all of our food at once + it was madness [especially because it was our meal right after backpacking for three days]. You must get the ricotta cavetelli. *Make a reservation!
#2] Bin22: Tapas + wine bar! This place gets packed, so make sure to go early. Another restaurant where you can order all the things — I loved the stuffed dates + meatballs!
#3] Gather: Stumbled upon the place + ended up being there for happy hour. The vibe wasn’t as cute as all the other cafes/eats I mentioned — but the food was tasty + the happy hour was worth it. Steamed pork buns!
For Next Time: FIGS, Streetfood, CocoLove [dessert!], Pearl Street Market
Fun Things To Do
#1] Gaslight Alley: Shopping! Shopping! Shopping!
#2] Go To The Rodeo: This was a riot! The rodeo is every Wednesday + Saturday at 8 PM at the Snow King Rodeo Fairgrounds.
#3] Million Dollar Cowboy Bar: The “famous” bar, that I honestly thought was lame. But, it worth a stop to just look inside + see the decor. Talk about vintage cowboy… the bar stools are saddles, haha.
#4] The Silver Dollar Bar + Grill: This place was hilarious + my jam. Go here to dance the night away — live music every night! Get your swing dancing on ; ).
All. The Hikes. ++ Other Outdoor Adventures
#1] Backpacking… or day hikes! Grand Teton National Park — freaking unreal. We did the Teton Crest Traill, 2 nights + 3 days. Head to the Visitor Center + they will help you decide what trail to take on! : ) Don’t forget your bear spray! Omg, also, if you can, go to Corbet’s Cabin at the top of the tram!
#2] Intro To Rodeo: From Sarah: “Best experience of my entire life. I hurt my knee + still had a great time. ; ). Don’t let the price intimidate you — it’s truly priceless.”
For Next Time: Granite Hot Springs, Jackson White Water Rafting, Float On The Snack River, Trail Riding at Mill Iron Ranch, Yellowstone
Wellness
#1] Lotus Vibes: We did a sound healing with Danielle + wow, it was incredible. Highly recommend!
#2] Akasa Yoga: This space was so cute! + a much need stretch.
#3] Medicine Wheel Wellness — I got the thai massage [which was amazing, + so needed after our backpacking trip], but they also offer fitness classes!
#3] Jackson Hole Winery — that’s wellness right? : ) Also, this is the only winery in the city, aha.
For Next Time: Inversion Yoga
Stay
We stayed at the Anvil Hotel [so hip + free coffee — always a plus] + an Airbnb. Both of them are walkable to the main area — Anvil is directly in town, + the Airbnb is a 10 minute walk. You can’t go wrong with either! :)
What did I miss? What city should I explore next?
Rooting for you always,
++ Elisabeth
